According to Stats SA, in the first quarter of 2019, the employment rate in South Africa showed an increase, where 63.4% of the total number of unemployed persons are youth (aged 15 – 34 years). Further findings showed that unemployed graduates were much less when compared to persons who only studied up to Matric or less.
